Gender Reveal Photography in Oxford

Oxford's college quads and spires are some of the most demanding architecture we shoot, and some of the most rewarding: every angle gives us something a standard venue can't.

A gender reveal is one of those events where the reaction is everything — and it happens once. The best photographs from any reveal are almost never of the confetti, the balloon, or the cake. They are of the faces at the moment the information lands. That is what we position for first.

We shoot gender reveals with two cameras wherever possible. The reveal moment is covered from two different angles simultaneously, so the reaction is captured from multiple perspectives and no single frame is the only shot at that moment.

Pre-event coordination matters here more than at most sessions. We discuss the reveal mechanism in advance — balloon pop, confetti cannon, box opening, envelope, cake cut — so we can position correctly, set exposure for the colours involved, and make sure we are not blocking the most important sightlines for your family.

Coverage runs from the gathering of guests through the reveal itself and into the celebration that follows. We stay through the group photos and the first portion of the party so the full event is documented, not just the headline moment. The build-up and the aftermath are often as worth having as the reveal itself.

Galleries are typically delivered within two weeks of the event and run to 150 to 300 images depending on the size of the gathering and the duration of coverage. Print rights are included and there are no limits on how you share or use the images.
