Newborn Photography in Killarney

Killarney is the only place we shoot weddings with mountains as a third character in every frame. Lakes, woodland, and Kerry light do most of the work for us here.

The newborn window closes fast. Sessions are scheduled within the first two weeks of life — ideally between days five and fourteen — when babies sleep deeply and curl naturally. After that, the deep sleep becomes lighter, and the shots that define newborn photography become harder to get.

We do not use studio equipment, wrapping props, or forced poses. Every image in an Austin Vows newborn gallery comes from your baby in your home, with your light, in your space. The resulting images have a specific intimacy that studio setups rarely produce — and they show the actual start of your life with this person rather than a generic backdrop.

Sessions typically take two to three hours. Newborns set the pace entirely. We feed, settle, and wait for them rather than rushing through a shot list, and if they are not cooperating with a particular position, we move on and come back to it later. There is no pressure on the day and no rushing.

Beyond the baby, we document everything around the session: how your home looks in those first weeks, siblings meeting their new brother or sister, the small details that disappear so quickly you barely notice they were there. A newborn gallery should feel like a record of those first days, not just a set of posed infant portraits.

The delivered gallery typically runs to 60 to 100 images, edited to a gentle, warm palette that complements the subject. Delivery is within three weeks of the session. If you booked a maternity session with us, the editing approach is matched so both galleries sit together coherently.
